CSTE launched the Data: Elemental to Health campaign in 2019 to advocate for sustained federal funding for public health surveillance. Initially, one of our larger sister organizations planned to outsource the branding, but I pushed to design it myself. We initially worked the “$1 billion” figure into the actual logo, but as the campaign evolved, we simplified things. All the while, we made room for more and more partner logos as organizations kept joining the effort.
The following suite of materials were created for a lot of different purposes—physical leave-behinds for Capitol Hill, social media “stories” to promote day-of events, online slideshows during our Annual Conference, and more. The green was a nice change of pace from the heavy use of CSTE “blues”, and I’m very pleased that it’s stuck for over two years.
